There’s a reason for it. Fans want to stay connected to their favorite characters and the worlds they can’t let go of. You can give them that connection live.

How to Apply

Applications are open from July 11, 12:00 PM to July 28, 12:01 AM (UTC). Creating a cosplay look takes time, so plan ahead.

For users, the event goes live for users from July 21, 12:00 PM to July 28, 12:01 AM (UTC). Don’t miss the window of opportunity to make a strong first impression. The earlier you stream, the more eyes and tips you’ll attract.

Already joined a Special streams before? Then this process will feel familiar. If not, here’s a breakdown for Cosplay Con:

  1. Wear a costume that clearly represents a character or genre, with at least a couple of distinctive elements, like a wig, outfit part, prop, etc. The more detailed your character, the better
  2. Record a 30-second video (MP4, MOV, or MPEG format). Recommendation: Include the name of the character you’re cosplaying in the video file name (e.g., Yennefer_of_Vengerberg_sample.mov). This will help our team review your submission faster.
  3. Head to your Broadcasting Page → My Details → Stream Specifics
  4. Choose Cosplay Con and upload your video
  5. Wait for approval. Then, go live and bring fantasy to life

Note: No room decoration needed. Casual add-ons like cat ears or devil horns without a full outfit won’t cut it. Give us a character, not just a vibe.

Pro tip: We recommend that when choosing a character, you take into account how often you'll be streaming. Going live once? Spending hours becoming Pennywise might be worth it. Streaming for a whole week? Choose a look that’s easier and faster to recreate.

After You’re Approved

Once your video is approved, you’ll see the Cosplay Con category added under Broadcasting Page → My Details → Stream Specifics. So, don’t forget to select Cosplay Con from the list when going live.

Remember, this is a themed event. Your Tip Menu and show topic should match the cosplay vibe. Keep the fantasy alive from start to finish.

You decide when to stream, how to perform, and what kind of experience you want to create for your audience. Want to stay in character all week? Go for it. Prefer to mix it up with your usual content in between? That’s fine too.

Cosplay Con Specials Attributes

Outfits: The possibilities are endless. From Cersei Lannister in her wine-red gowns to Frank Castle’s no-nonsense Punisher vest, it all depends on how deep you want to dive into fandom and what’s already in your closet. Or what you’re willing to hunt down.

Makeup: Go simple or go all in, we support you either way. Some characters naturally don't require much effort in the makeup department: Harry Potter’s lightning bolt scar does the job. Others, like the Joker, might take a bit more commitment, powder, and lipstick.

Pro tip: Don’t go for transformations that require professional assistance unless you have it. Queen of Swords is otherworldly, but her look may be out of the realm of possibility. It’s better to choose a character you can embody confidently, rather than chase a look that sets you up for frustration.

Props and decorations: You don’t need room decor this time around. As for props, consider if they are an integral part of the character portrait or if you can do without them. Thor usually carries his hammer wherever he goes, but his armor and cape make it hard to mistake him for someone else. That said, if you happen to have Thor's Mjölnir, it absolutely won't hurt ;)

Get ready to channel your favorite characters, charm your fans, and make July your most legendary month yet.
