From ditching her 9 to 5 grind to finding freedom and success on Stripchat: meet the stunning Alana15
Even though a lot of people dream about leaving the 9-to-5 rat race, not everyone dares to take the plunge, and certainly not everybody succeeds. But that’s not the case of Alana15. She left her office job to embark on the cam girl adventure, which enabled her to go to college and be the boss lady she always wanted to be. Now, she juggles school with camming, and excels at it. Proof of it is the “Model of the Month” position she snatched last month.
What got you into camming?
I used to have an office job, but to be honest, it didn’t give me any free time and I was really depressed working there. There were a lot of things that I wanted to do, like traveling or going to college, and it seemed like something impossible to do while working in an office.
While browsing the Internet, I found out that working in the cam industry would give me the freedom to manage my own time, so one day I just quit my job and started as a webcam model (even though I didn’t know anything about the industry).
What does a normal day in your life look like?
As a student and cam model at once, I must organize my schedule and stick to it to have enough of time to do both things, so I wake up around 4:30 am (GMT-5). During the week I go to classes from 6 till 9:45 am and then I start my morning show around 10:15 am (which is regularly outdoors) till 1 pm. After that, I have lunch, try to do all the college stuff (like assignments) before going back online at 5 pm till 9 pm, and during the weekends my routine doesn’t change a lot, but the difference is that I stay online from 10am till 6:30 pm on Sundays.
How was your coming out as a cam model?
I am surrounded by pretty supportive and empathic people, which is why I never felt insecure to tell my friends and relatives what I do. I told them from the very beginning and never got a bad comment from any of them. Some of my friends even got motivated to join this industry after I told them I was a cam girl.
*If you could say something to your younger self starting off in the cam industry, what would it be? *
I would tell the younger Alana15 that all the effort, tears, frustration, time invested, and discipline were worth it. It seems impossible now but in a couple years you will make big things, just keep going and don’t give up.
What has been your biggest success since joining the industry? And your biggest struggle?
My biggest success in this industry for now has been being top 1 last December and my biggest struggle as a model and student it’s definitely managing to have enough time to do both things.
If you could change one thing about your past, what would it be?
Might sound cliché, but I wouldn’t change a thing, all the things that I have been through and all decisions I’ve made, have brought me where I am now.
Why did you choose Stripchat and what’s your favorite thing about the site?
To be honest, I started as model in another platform. Then, after a couple months, someone told me about Stripchat and how much I would fit in on the site. I was kind of insecure at the beginning, but within a few days I found out the great community the site has and felt really comfortable, so much that it became my main and only site to broadcast almost immediately.
My favorite thing about the site it’s definitely how innovative it is, always improving; giving models a lot of different tools to use while broadcasting as well as when offline.
How do you feel about winning Model of the Month? What does this mean to you?
It is a big achievement, it’s not a secret that competition can be really tough, especially in December when there’s a lot of “Santas” around spoiling the models with their kindness, so winning model of the month in the December has an extra meaning for me.
Any future dreams you want to achieve?
I hope to be a house owner soon, that’s one of my biggest dreams – probably the main reason why I have been working so hard.
