From model and user friendship, to successful cam couple in love: Ana_Lingus

Dating your favorite cam model might seem like an out-of-reach dream for some. However, it became the Elf and Ana's reality, models behind the popular account Ana_Lingus, thus proving that nothing's impossible and giving hope to all of us dreamers.

What started as a model-user friendship in the chat room, ended up being a successful romantic and profesional relationship both on and off cam. Ana and the Elf share their lives and also their career, racking up almost 170k followers since they started streaming together on Stripchat in late 2019. We've sat with them to discuss their relationship, beginnings, dreams and success.

1. How did you two meet?

I, Ana, started camming solo. At some point, the Elf showed up in my cam room. He was my moderator for a few weeks and in general, he provided me with some insights about how to cam more successfully and set up my equipment. We texted and called each other a lot when I was not on cam. In the beginning, we only talked about cam related stuff but gradually we started talking more and more about our private lives. Also, the calls got longer and longer. A few month in, we basically texted all day and spend our nights on hour-long phone calls with each other. In the course of that time we also figured out that we both lived in Berlin. So finally, we decided to meet up and that was it. It was basically love at first sight: we knew right away that we wanted to spend as much time together as possible and so we did. Two months later we moved in together.

2. When did you join the industry and what influenced/inspired you to do so?

I, Ana, started in the industry via solo live camming in December of 2019. Since April of 2020 I and the Elf have been camming as a couple and a little later we also started filming videos for various sites.

I always loved sex and trying out new things. I especially enjoy the exhibitionist part of live camming - that really turns me on and makes me feel truly alive. The fact that we started camming as a couple and filming our own videos was partly due to us suddenly having much more time on our hands because of the pandemic. Camming didn’t only give us a way to share our sexual experiences and explore new things together, it also helped us gain financial stability in a time of great economic uncertainty due to the pandemic.

3. You rack up almost 170k followers on Stripchat. What do you credit your success to?

Even though I am wearing a mask, I am trying to be my most authentic self. In a way, I feel like the mask allows me to be more honest with the users and try out more things than I might without it. Also, we love interacting with our users and try to make our shows as entertaining as possible apart from the sex.

A lot of users have told us that one of the things that make them always come back to us is that if you watch our shows you will hear some quick little banter between the two of us or us exchanging witty comments with users or just enjoying ourselves instead of sitting in silence waiting for tips.

Also, we offer a great deal of action in our shows and even recently started doing threesome shows with different cam models and porn stars.

4. Is webcam modeling your full time job or just a side hobby?

For now it is just a side passion project. Even though it is going so well and that it is growing and taking up more and more of our time.

5. Do you tap into your alter egos when you stream, or would you say that it's pretty much yourselves?

In front of the cam we are the most honest and as true to ourselves as we could ever be. In real life there are so many different things people expect you to do or say or be but when we stream we can just do whatever we want, show ourselves the way we truly are and have extremely open conversations. This freeing effect is one of the best parts about camming in our opinion.

6. Why the name Ana_Lingus?

I was certain that I wanted a surname and a last name yet at the same time I was looking for something original. So, after thinking about it a lot I came up with the pun on anilingus which I personally found catchy and funny. Plus, it’s quite fitting as well because I really love anal.

7. Has joining the industry affected your relationship? If so, how?

I, Ana, was already in the industry before I met the Elf and he had been helping cam girls for a few years already before we met, always flirting with the idea of starting to cam as well but he just didn't have the right partner to do so.
So for us it was basically a dream come true to be able to do something together that we love so much. Our dynamic didn't really change after we started camming because we both had been so involved with the industry already that it felt very natural to just combine our energies into one common passion project.

8. Are you two more similar or different from each other?

We have as many differences as we have similarities. We love doing the same things in our free time from everything cam related to going hiking together or watching our favorite series. But we are also different in many ways: I am more the creative and innovative part and the Elf is the one who combines my dreams and ideas with his technical know-how and industry insights to make them become a reality.

9. Where do you guys see yourself in 10 years?

We would love to have our own production by then and our own cam studio where we teach others how to cam successfully. It would be nice to still be camming ourselves and to still be filming videos of ourselves for our production. But the focus should be on producing porn and helping new cam models with our combined knowledge. Also, we would love to live somewhere sunny while doing so.
