Looking Forward: The German Market in 2020

BERLIN — In anticipation of the annual Venus Berlin Trade Fair in Germany, Stripchat surveyed over 1000 German users on their cam habits and their views on adult content. The results were liberating, showing a market much different than for video pornography.

• Technologically adept Young Germans are dominating the cam market — 50% of cam fans under 25, and much more likely to spend large amounts of money than those who watch porn videos.
• German women are 58% more likely than their male counterparts to enjoy cams, versus recorded porn. Women are more than twice as likely to spend over 100 Euro on cams, and more than SEVEN times as likely to spend more 1000 Euro on cams
• Germans prefer German-made content to foreign content by a 2-to-1 ratio.
• Nearly 17% of German cam users wish the government would institute more restrictions on adult content in the country, even as they themselves enjoy near limitless adult content.
