Project Pulse Patch Notes #2: Update on Streaming & New Fixes
This is the second of four Project Pulse patch releases, with a focus on Streaming, including a status update on our long-term project with that. We also tackled bugs in Ticket shows and cleaned up some messy layouts — not to mention plenty of other fixes.
Thank you to everyone who has joined the community Discord so far and shared your experience after Patch #1. Your feedback helped us uncover additional issues with the areas addressed in that patch, We’ll improve them in a future update. Project Pulse is a collaborative effort, and we are grateful to have you onboard with us.
And, of course, live software can get a little messy. While attempting to fix a Project Pulse bug last week, we accidentally introduced a new one (go figure). It briefly caused some viewers to automatically join Private and Group shows and be charged for them without consent.
We compensated all affected viewers on our side since it was our fault. Some of you refunded those viewers yourselves before we did, so we compensated you instead. The issue was quickly fixed and we’ll ensure it doesn’t happen again.
Never a dull moment on Stripchat. Thanks, as always, for your patience and collaboration. Now let’s dive into the full Patch Notes #2 info.
🎥 Streaming
Ticket Shows
We’ve fixed a bug that caused Ticket shows to cancel accidentally before starting. In some cases, the countdown reached zero, but the show didn’t begin. With this update, Ticket shows should now start more reliably.
Layout
We’ve fixed a layout issue in the mobile player that affected OBS streams. Text and other elements are now properly placed. Your stream layout remains readable across devices.
We’ve also tackled a layout bug in Private chat. When using large font sizes, voice messages could overflow and break the chat formatting. Now, they stay neatly within bounds, no matter which text size you prefer.
The Stream Specifics drop-down got a quick polish, too. Margins now match other menus, and that awkward scroll behavior is gone.
Miscellaneous
We’ve made changes to prevent an agreement banner from appearing when you start streaming. In some cases, you were being asked to sign even though you’d already done it. That banner should no longer appear if no action is actually needed.
Lastly, in Streaming, we’ve taken care of the quality indicator. It wasn’t always telling the full story: even when audio conditions were bad, the color sometimes stayed green. It should now reflect audio issues more accurately. So, you’ll know when something needs attention.
Alongside the individual fixes, we promised to share a broader status update on Streaming. We're making major improvements behind the scenes to support more stable broadcasts in all regions.
As part of this, we're setting up new servers around the world. Expanding our server network will help improve reliability for models worldwide.
We are hoping you will start to see the first visible improvements from this effort around October. After that, we will continue expanding and upgrading our servers through the end of the year.
We will give you another update on the status of this project in one month, at the end of the Project Pulse campaign.
🍭 Toys
We’ve fixed a bug that caused Lovense toy control to stop when a viewer upgraded from Private to Exclusive. Now the control stays active, so the experience continues without interruption.
Additional fixes:
- Fixed a bug where Lovense messages in Public chat showed the username incorrectly
- Restored upload functionality for photos and videos in the Lovense Browser
📱 Mobile
We’ve resolved a bug in mobile broadcasting that caused a false “duplicate activity” error when reselecting show activities. You can now freely select, unselect, and reselect activities without running into this blocker.
Additional fixes:
- Resolved a bug where recorded voice messages didn’t preview on iOS
- Corrected the position of the tooltip for the empty price field in paid voice messages on iOS
- Addressed a broken layout in the Viewers list after opening notes on mobile
💞 Privates
Some users weren’t charged correctly during Private and Cam2Cam shows. We’ve fixed this to make sure you're fully paid for the entire performance.
Additional fixes:
- Fixed a bug where viewers didn’t see your photo on the Private or Cam2Cam preview screen
- Fixed a case where your Private show ended immediately if the main viewer closed their browser tab. Now you’ll be asked whether to continue the show if a spy is still watching
- Resolved a bug where some users who tipped couldn’t join your Ticket show. With this fix, users who pay get proper access
💬 Chat
We’ve fixed an issue that sometimes prevented you from attaching media to paid mass messages. Your content can now be added and sent as expected.
Additional fixes:
- Corrected the broken layout in the Albums tab when sending photos or videos in private messages
Other Updates
- Fixed an issue where user note tooltips only appeared for the top entry in your Token History or Paying Users list
- Fixed the display issue where a high-tipping user’s username wasn’t fully visible in the Viewers section
- Resolved a bug that caused token amounts to be cut off in the Top Tippers list on mobile
- Corrected a case where using the /keys command in fullscreen mode showed user shortcuts instead of model shortcuts
- Resolved an issue where long notifications caused scrolling on smaller screens
- Addressed a bug where some models were missing from the search results
- Fixed a bug that prevented you from muting Knights who earned their status in other models’ rooms
